Home Health Aide (HHA) Training

The Home Health Aide (HHA) program trains students to provide quality care to patients in home and community-based settings. Instruction covers personal care, nutrition, safety, assisting with daily living activities, and selected health-related tasks. The program includes hands-on training and a required internship to ensure real-world experience.

COURSE FEES

  • Tuition: $499.00

  • Books and Supplies (non-refundable): $100.00 

  • Registration Fee (non-refundable: $49.00

  • Total: $648.00

For completion: 

  • 83 hours

  • 8 Hour Internship 

Entrance Requirements:​

  • High School Diploma/GED OR

  • Wonderlic Basic Skills Test – Passing Score Verbal 200 and Quantitative 210

  • Module II - Working Effectively with Home Care Clients

  • Module III - Working with the Elderly

  • Module IV - Working the Children

  • Module V – Working with People who are mentally ill 

  • Module VI - Working with People with Developmental Disabilities

  • Module VII - Working with People with Physical Disabilities

  • Module VIII - Food Nutrition & Meal Preparation

  • Module IX - Family Spending & Budgeting

  • Module X – Care of the Home & Personal Belongings

  • Module XI – Safety & Injury Prevention

  • Module XII – Personal Care Skills

  • Unit A.  Orientation to Health Related Tasks

  • Unit B.  Performing Simple Measurements & Tests

  • Unit C.  Complex Modified Diets

  • Unit D.  Assisting with Prescribed Exercise Program

  • Unit E.  Assisting with use of Prescribed Medical Equipment, Supplies & Devices

  • Unit F  Assisting with Special Skin Care

  • Unit G.  Assisting with a Dressing Change

  • Unit H.  Assisting with Ostomy Care​
